Using animation, music, projections, and her own moving shadow, performance artist Miwa Matreyek crafts visually stunning images for a kinetic journey of inner and outer discovery. This World Made Itself shifts from the universe’s epic beginnings to the complex world of humanity. In Myth and Infrastructure, the artist traverses oceans, cityscapes, and domestic spaces in fantastical scenes of shadow and light.

“Transcendently spectacular piece of theater…that stretches toward a higher consciousness while keeping its feet rooted in the snowy ground.”

—Los Angeles Times
